While Apple was quick to rollout the iOS 4.3.3 update to fix the highly criticized “location tracking” issue on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, it appears that the Cupertino-based company made a big boo-boo that has temporarily left some owners with bricked Apple devices.

As TFTS reports, the issue seems to be affecting “customers that have either updated or restored their iOS device to iOS 4.3.3 and tried to activate their device with iTunes.” The error that you will see appear on iTunes when you hook your iOS device up will be this:

“There is a problem with your device… We’re sorry, the device you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service. We recommend you visit your nearest Apple Store for more information. To find your nearest Apple Store, click here.”

And unfortunately if you do encounter this problem, what they recommend is the only solution as it is an internal Apple issue which they can only correct.

Being the weekend, there is no official statement from Apple yet and we will update this post the moment there is a response or turn of things.
